As long as I remember I have been intrigued by beauty. And the older I get, the more I realise the beauty I find in people, nature and life in general, is a medicine for me against the darker side of life. At the age of twenty-one I discovered that the medium of photography suited me well. And till the day of today photography has remained very important to me to capture emotions and create something beautiful – along with other creative and artistic work I do.
In the 57 years I have lived, I never witnessed a period that is darker than today. So more than ever keeping up my creativity helps me personally to weather this storm. The same applies for our Puredistance team. We temporarily stopped our regular production process and now mainly focus on creative work. We can do this since our team shapes and creates the visual and conceptual world of Puredistance completely in-house.
It took us one week to re-think the tasks our team could do and implement the necessary practical changes so our people could creatively work at home. After having taken care of this, my next question was: “What can I do for the people that use and love our perfumes; customers, suppliers, fans and friends.” Because thanks to these people – and thanks to all these wonderful stores that sell Puredistance – we were able to create the world of Puredistance. Without their input, feedback and sales there would be no Puredistance.
I came up with a visual contest that hopefully inspires you to find the artist inside of you and gives you the opportunity to win a 17.5. ml Puredistance Perfume Spray. I invite you to create a visual (a photo, illustration, painting or collage) that does justice to the elegant world of Puredistance tag the photo with #puredistance on Instagram & Twitter, or tag @Puredistance on Facebook. Every week we will publish a maximum of 3 winners. The winning pictures will also be published in this NEWS section on our website. Both previous and newly tagged photos qualify for this contest. More information you will find on our Instagram- and Facebook pages. And ‘Less is More’, so no need to post a lot. Quality over Quantity!
Finally I wish you strength, good health and patience in these difficult times.
