We favour quality over quantity. We try to be honest, transparent and believe in modesty. We encourage to be personal and direct. Our motto is: Less is more (and often enough).
We only sell perfume extrait made from high quality perfume oil that lasts much longer than mass fragrances. As a result the customer uses smaller quantities of perfume and needs to buy less flacons (and packaging).
We don’t follow trends and try to create perfumes that are timelessly beautiful. This way we keep our collection small and timeless.
We take our time to create a new perfume and never rush or compromise. The average time it takes to realise a Puredistance perfume is almost two years. This way we avoid to launch too quickly created mediocre perfumes that flop in the market and are the cause of much waste.
We keep our own stock to a minimum, because we have a small range of perfumes and assemble everything by hand. This way we can produce only the (small) quantities that are really needed.
We avoid large stockpiles of our products by shipping 95% of our products directly to our retailers and direct customers in small quantities instead of using distributors who often end up with large quantities that cannot be sold.
We try not to borrow any money and stay 100% independent (and so far we have been successful in doing so). This way we avoid external pressure to produce and sell quantities that are too large for our market. Also there is no pressure to use cheaper but less environmentally friendly materials or production methods.
More than 50% of our profits are reinvested in the company and the remaining money is put into a savings account to make sure we can keep our standards high and stay independent.
We care about our employees. Our employees work in the best possible working conditions and with the best possible tools.
